The weekend just gone (28-29Dec24) saw record preventatives performed at Birubi, being 2402!!! With only 1 rescue all weekend it shows we are "on the money" when it comes to how we handle the beach with large crowds and challenging surf!!. Thanks to those vigilant patrols for a great effort, especially to patrol members who weren't actually rostered on, assisting patrols in busy times as "Vols", (Greg Williams, Callum Mercer, Bernie Caddy, Karen Costello, Andrew Davies, Steve Fogwill, Paul Bassett).
