The club bar is now known as "The Duff" bar, at our AGM held 3July26 the announcement was made, the bar is named in honour of our long term members Rob and Ali Duff. The naming is in recognition of the input they had into the design of the club(finished in 2013). During planning of the new clubhouse Rob and Ali visited many surf clubs, large and small. They walked through bars, chatted with managers, studied layouts, compared materials, and asked every question imaginable. What worked? What didn’t? What made a club feel warm, functional, and financially sustainable. They were determined to bring back the very best ideas to Birubi.

Their road-trip research became the backbone of the design we enjoy today.
