The 2008-2009 Patrol Season - Is upon us
Why not take a few minutes to check out our new look Club booklet? This year it will be printed in an A4 format- with grateful thanks to Newcastle Airport Inc. It has lots of wonderful photographs (care of Stuart King) and is packed with a great deal of information both for nippers and seniors alike. The booklet will be available on both registration days.
But if you miss out or you want to be environmentally friendly you can download it onto your own computer and read it as you need to. The booklet is design to be as informative as possible and contains information correct at the time of printing. Items such as the nipper event calendar is subject to change. Any changes will be conveyed to you by the JDO on nipper mornings or via our monthly newsletter.
And don't forget if you get an opportunity to say thanks to any of our sponsors or use their business or services please do!

Congratulations to Matthew Denahy and Reshaye Hollier!
Matthew Denahy and Reshaye Hollier have both been chosen to represent the Hunter Branch in the 2007-2008 season. Matthew has been part of the Hunter Branch team for beach events a
phenomenal 5 times; for Reshaye who has recently been nominated for the Ports Stephens Sports Star awards, this is her second year. In addition to that, Reshaye is also part of the Elite Competition squad who recently competed in Queensland.
Matthew will be in the U17's for beach events (sprints and flags) and Reshaye the U14 age group for the board and swim events. Both Matthew and Reshaye are both very proud to represent Birubi and have fought hard to get these places; a truly outstanding effort for these two great athletes.
On behalf of everyone in the club we wish you all the best. Well done!!

This year we are very proud to announce that one of our cadets Reshaye Hollier has been selected into the Hunter Branch High Performance squad. Reshaye is currently being sponsored by One Mile Beach Holiday Park. This sponsorship will help Reshaye with the expenses associated with travel and equipment that she might need. Birubi Point SLSC has also provided her with a new racing board and the manufacturer Bennetts Boards gave us a new cover for nothing to protect her new board.
